The highest altitude Wind Power Plant was established at the easternmost of Turkey

Fiba Group has reached 550 MW of power with its investments in 4 new wind power plants and becomes one of the biggest in the sector.

Fiba Group’s 4 new wind power plants with a total investment of 220 million dollars in Van, Balıkesir, Yalova and İstanbul Çatalca, started production. With 4 new WPPs with a total installed power of 200 MW, the installed power of the Group increased to 550 MW in wind energy and 580 MW in renewable energy, making the group one of the biggest in the sector. Turkey's highest and most eastern wind energy plant is installed by Fiba Group which is located in Van with a capacity of 53.2 MW power plant. With its new investments, Fiba Group will reduce carbon equivalent to 563 thousand hectares of forests annually. Fiba Group Chairman Murat Özyeğin underscores that Turkey's wind map is very well analyzed and with Van power plants, they made the largest investment to date to the wind energy potential in eastern Anatolia. He also added that “These four projects contribute to the security of our country’s energy supply recently and we see it as a part of positive developments that reduce our dependency on foreign sources."
