History
Fiba Group was founded by Hüsnü Özyeğin with the vision of creating more value to the world, society and people, with its very first investment, Finansbank made in finance sector in 1987. In 1990, it gained an international identity with the investment made in financial sector in Switzerland. While continuing its growth in the finance sector; it has expanded its range of activities with the investments in energy, retail, tourism, real estate and asset management sectors. Fiba Group’s first investment in finance, Finansbank, has been sold in 2006 which scored the highest foreign capital inflows in Turkey until that day.
Following this sound success worldwide, Fibabanka was established with the goal of becoming Turkey's leading and best digital bank which is serving 2 million customers today. Fiba Group continues to diversify its innovative investments in the financial technology field with Finberg initiatives. HDI Fiba Emeklilik, Fiba Sigorta, Fiba Faktoring, Fiba Portföy Yönetimi, Gelecek Varlık Yönetimi and fintech initiative Finberg are among other financial investments of the Group in Turkey. Credit Europe Bank Ltd, which is Russia-based, serves nearly 6 million individual and corporate customers through 42 branches located in 22 cities across the country. Netherlands-based Nexent Bank, on the other hand, provides services to over 400,000 individual and corporate clients across 7 countries.
The Group continues to grow by collaborating with strong international companies and brands for non-financial investments. Fiba Retail is the sole authorized partner for opening and operating Marks & Spencer, GAP, Forever 21, and lululemon stores in Türkiye. Having added Forever 21 and lululemon to its portfolio in 2024 and 2025 respectively, Fiba Retail has further strengthened its position in the market, while also holding a 50% partnership stake in the Sportive brand. Fiba Commercial Properties manages a wide real estate portfolio as the largest Turkish real estate investor in China, Romania and Moldova with its shopping malls. Furthermore, the group continues to extend its investments in the energy sector with Fiba Renewables, which is ranked among the leading companies in the renewable energy sector with its wind and solar power plants in Turkey.
