“Renewing the Future Education Program” New Term Applications Opened

Fiba Renewables has made the new term call for the “Renewing the Future Education Program,” which it launched with the social enterprise Bilim Virüsü.

The program, implemented with the motto “Impact the World, Renew the Future!”, aims to increase students' global awareness through education modules and application workshops, develop 21st-century competencies, and support them in taking active responsibility in line with the sustainable development vision. In its second year, the program aims to reach 600 young people.

The application process for the online program, designed for easy access by young people, is being carried out through Youthall, one of the platforms most actively used by the target audience. After graduating nearly 500 students in its inaugural year, the program’s second edition aims to reach university students nationwide, specifically targeting regions where Fiba Renewables operates its wind, solar, and hybrid power plants. All students interested in sustainability, green economy, and social impact can apply to the program.

Koray Kıymaz, General Manager of Fiba Renewables, who emphasized that they prioritize social investments that strengthen social and economic development, said:

“As Fiba Renewables, we are expanding our sphere of influence and increasing our social impact every year with the projects we carry out specifically in the fields of renewable energy, environmental awareness, and sustainability, aimed at the needs of young people, primarily in the regions where we operate, and we continue to renew the future together with the youth.”

Şule Yücebıyık, Founder of Bilim Virüsü, expressed the vision of the program with these words:

“Today’s youth are not only the professionals of the future but also the founders of a sustainable world. As Bilim Virüsü, we support the empowerment of young people as individuals who produce solutions to global problems, take responsibility, and create impact. The Renewing the Future program is exactly a part of this transformation.”

Program enriched with new content

Within the scope of the education and development program consisting of four modules, young people gain knowledge and competence in global awareness, 21st-century skills, sustainable energy, and social justice, meeting with experts ranging from world-renowned academics to ecosystem leaders. The first term of the program, which aims to create a long-term and permanent social impact that enables young people to play an active role in the transition to a green economy in harmony with sustainable development goals, was completed with 92 percent general program success in line with the evaluation of the program's objectives by the participants at the end of each training.

The modules—designed in the first year as "Green Future: Global Awareness and Sustainability," "Talent Map: Competencies of the Future," "The Future of Energy: A Sustainable Tomorrow with Innovation," and "Human Rights and Equality" according to the needs and expectations of young people—were developed in line with participant feedback, and digital skills and data literacy topics were added to the new term trainings.

Participants within the scope of the program, where the “Future Renewers Meetings” organized to be role models for young people will also continue, will have the opportunity to synthesize theoretical knowledge with real experiences and receive mentorship support by coming together with academics, senior executives, business people, and entrepreneurs.
