Fiba Salon İKSV Prepares For The New Season Under Its New Name
Salon İKSV, the performance venue of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV), is entering the autumn season under a new name following the launch of a long-term partnership with Fiba Group: Fiba Salon İKSV.
Through this collaboration between İKSV and Fiba Group, the venue will strengthen its multidisciplinary programming in the new season, hosting not only concerts but also theatre productions, literary and scientific discussions, jazz club nights and a variety of other events. In line with Fiba Group’s commitment to improving young people’s access to cultural events, a limited number of tickets for every event throughout the season will be offered to students at a 50% discount.
Commenting on the partnership, Bülent Eczacıbaşı, Chairperson of the İKSV, said: “Salon İKSV, which brought to life a dream that İKSV had cherished for many years, has been one of Istanbul’s key meeting places for music lovers since 2010. By enabling İKSV to host events across a range of disciplines throughout the year, the venue has allowed us to build a stronger and more lasting relationship with our audiences. Presenting new voices to discover on its stage, Salon has also been the place where many young people first encountered İKSV. We regard the partnership we have launched with Fiba Group this year as an important step that will build on Salon’s achievements to date while further enriching and diversifying its programme. With a new programme extending from music and literature to theatre and public conversations, we firmly believe that Fiba Salon İKSV will reach many new audiences. Its rich programme, which will also feature new productions developed in connection with İKSV’s festivals and biennials, will make a significant contribution to the cultural and artistic life of our city. I would like to thank Fiba Group for this valuable partnership.”
Expressing his great pleasure at embarking on a shared journey with İKSV, an institution that has played a pioneering role in the development of culture and the arts in Türkiye, Murat Özyeğin, Chairperson of the Fiba Group, said:
“Throughout Fiba Group’s nearly 40-year journey, we have embraced long-term thinking, creating lasting value and leaving a strong legacy for future generations as our guiding principles in every field in which we operate. Alongside our contribution to the business world, we have consistently prioritised initiatives that generate positive social impact. As we approach our 40th anniversary, we have been seeking to diversify our impact-driven initiatives in culture and the arts alongside education, which remains at the heart of our social investment mission, and to support the universal power of art to enrich different perspectives. In line with this ambition, we are delighted to collaborate with İKSV and deeply excited to support a venue such as Salon İKSV, which fulfils an essential need within the performing arts landscape, particularly for young audiences. Under the new vision jointly developed by our two institutions, Fiba Salon İKSV will grow even stronger and bring audiences together through an expanded programme that embraces a wider range of communities. We are especially pleased that this partnership will enable more young people to engage not only with music but also with theatre, literature and other artistic disciplines. I hope that every event at Fiba Salon İKSV will be filled to capacity, and I believe the venue will be followed with great enthusiasm as a cultural destination that brings art lovers together.”
