Opened after the February 6 earthquakes, the Children's Kindness Center provides free orthopedic and psychological support, physical therapy and occupational therapy services with state-of-the-art technology to all children and young people up to the age of 21 who lost limbs in the earthquake. The center aims to meet the urgent needs of children with limb loss and to create a comprehensive, permanent and sustainable rehabilitation model specially designed for children.

Stating that Fiba Group has been supporting Türkiye's social and economic development for more than 30 years with social investments realized with a social value approach, Head of Social Investments at Fiba Group Ayla Göksel said the following:

"As Fiba Group, together with Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation, following the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes in 2023, we set out with the dream of a center focused on the rehabilitation of children with limb loss in light of our experience in previous earthquakes. Under the leadership of Çukurova University, we came together with important national and international medical associations and implemented this multi-stakeholder project. We also aim to position this center as a 'Center of Excellence' in the field of rehabilitation of children with limb loss with its R&D studies and scientific research that will respond to long-term needs in the region. We are delighted that this project, which is the product of our Group's long-term vision and social investment experience, has been deemed worthy of the award. We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank all stakeholders who supported the realization of the Child Wellness Center."

The center, which opened in October 2023, serves with all the necessary devices and equipment for physical and psychological rehabilitation under a single roof with its 800 m2 building built on an area of 1500 m2. As of February 2024, the total number of children reached by the center with prosthetic and orthotic support, psychological support, educational scholarships and vocational trainings has reached 142.
