12 Million TL support from FIBA Group to combat the coronavirus pandemic

Fiba Group Chairman Murat Özyeğin said, “Although we are physically apart from each other, we are going through a period when our hearts beat together and in solidarity. In order to combat the coronavirus pandemic in this period, where not the few but solidarity is important, we, as Fiba Group, quickly mobilized the possibilities of all our companies operating in different fields."

Fiba Group mobilized its expertise and opportunities in the fields of activity of group companies for healthcare personnel. Fiba Perakende provides clothing support during long shifts, Fiba Faktoring protective health equipment, Gelecek Varlık medical device, Swissotel The Bosphorus accommodation and meal support, and Özyeğin University provides mask production support with a shield.

FİBA Group donated 5 million TL to the campaign named as “Biz Bize Yeteriz Türkiyem Milli Dayanışma Kampanyası” with the support of Fibabanka, Fiba Emeklilik, Fiba Faktoring and Fina Enerji, which is initiated by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey. Fiba Group, whose contributions have reached 5.5 million TL to date, has allocated a total of 12 million TL together with financial and in-kind supports to combat the coronavirus pandemic.

Emphasizing that they will continue to oversee the direction of the pandemic in the upcoming period in order to combat the coronavirus pandemic in line with the needs, Fiba Group Chairman Murat Özyeğin stated:

Although we are physically apart from each other, we are going through a period when our hearts beat together and in solidarity. There is no doubt that we will overcome this challenging process faster and with less loss if we keep it together and fight the pandemic as a nation and act responsibly both individually and institutionally. The support given to the National Solidarity Campaign named as “Milli Dayanışma Kampanyası” from all segments of the society is extremely meaningful. However, it is also very valuable to have everyone’s contribution to the extent of everyone's expertise and means. In this process, where solidarity is important, not a few, we, as Fiba Group, quickly mobilized all our group companies. We hope that the financial and in-kind resources we allocate in order to support the fight against the pandemic in the most effective way will give strength to our nation, especially healthcare professionals and patients, and we hope to be able to come together again on healthy days as soon as possible.



All-rounded support for healthcare professionals

Fiba Perakende, one of the group companies, delivers a thousand clothing packages from GAP and Marks & Spencer brands to hospitals in order to meet the clean clothes needs of all healthcare personnel, especially doctors and nurses working in long shifts.

Fiba Factoring, on the other hand, provided with the required personal protective equipment such as masks, overalls and gloves to healthcare personnel in hospitals, with the guidance of the Ministry of Health, and Gelecek Varlık donated medical devices to be used in intensive care units.

Accommodation and meal support from Swissotel to healthcare professionals

Swissotel The Bosphorus opend its doors to doctors and nurses requesting accommodation, also started to provide meal support with its chefs. Meals prepared at Swissotel The Bosphorus are distributed to healthcare professionals in neighboring hospitals every day.

Face shield from Özyeğin University

Özyeğin University, founded by Fiba Group, supports the combat against the corona pandemic with 3D printers. Face shields produced with 3D printers at Openfab Makerlab within the university are delivered to health institutions in need.
